We feed our horses in a 6′ round, galvanized metal container. We throw flakes of hay in there for them to munch on. Lately the 2 year-old gelding likes to kick the sides of it while he eats.
Remember in Lord of the Rings when they are inside the caves and one of the Hobbits knocks something in the well and makes a lot of racket? …Then they hear the Orc Drums?
Well, that’s what it sounds like when the horses kick the feeder.
It’s kind of a chilling sound in the middle of the night.
